I had the privilege of attending many of the rehearsals. Sketching the actors and scenes was an amazing process. I watched the actors evolve from stumbling and forgetting their lines to a flawless performance. I sought to capture the mood and emotions of the characters in over 30 drawings that are now on display in the lobby.
Most of the drawings were done with a tree twig about 20 inches long. This simple and natural stick gave me a variety of line thicknesses and its use helps me stay looser than if I just draw with a thin pen. I then added a touch of color with a brush.
